Evaluation Method of Production Pressure Differential in Deep Carbonate Reservoirs: A Case Study in Tarim Basin, Northwest China

Deep and even ultra-deep petroleum resources play a gradually increasing important role with the worldwide continuous advancement of oil gas exploration development. In China, deep carbonate reservoirs in Tarim Basin are regarded as key development areas due to their huge reserves. However, unreasonable design production pressure differential, some wells suffered from severe borehole collapse tubing blockage. Therefore, main purpose this paper is optimize more practical method for predicting critical differential. The commonly used analytical methods different failure criteria differential were summarized. Furthermore, advantages disadvantages analyzed. A new numerical model established based on finite element theory order make prediction accurate.
